Lessinia is a wide highland covered with woods and pastures where the beauty of the environment and the traditions of ancient peoples blend together to form a harmonious whole. Here you can find exceptional geological features and picturesque towns with stone-roofed houses, as well as fossils which are unique in the world.
The Regional Nature Reserve of Lessinia was opened in 1990 and covers an area of 10.000 hectares.
Plans are underway to further promote this part of Italy rich in history, archaeology and natural resources as well as being by exceptional interest from a linguistic, anthropological and architectural point of view.
